Launch of NFC mobile payments has been delayed in UAE thanks to lack of NFC enabled mobile phones, SIM cards and pay readers. This information was given by mobile operators in the UAE. Du was the first mobile operator to announce the launch of NFC payment projects jointly along with Dubai First.

The pilot project that was started by these two companies involved 250 selected customers who had Dubai First Properties Platinum MasterCard.

Even the state run mobile operator Etisalat announced during Gitex last year that even they would be launching NFC with Emirates NBD, Gemalto and Visa. Emirates NBD Visa cardholders could now purchase goods using their Etisalat mobile phones.

Near Field Communications (NFC) payments are made by waving NFC enabled mobile phones in front of NFC payment terminals at shopping centers instead of swiping their credit cards. The range of NFC is of around 4 cm, that’s the distance from which NFC enabled mobile phone can be used on NFC terminal. For additional security, users will have to enter a pass key to complete the payment process.

The major blockade in the implementation of NFC technology is shortage of NFC enabled mobile phones, even though mobile handset manufacturers like Samsung and Nokia are working on to launch more NFC enabled mobile phones.

Other than shortage of NFC enabled mobile phones, telecom operators are also facing shortage of NFC enabled SIM cards and pay readers. Vodafone deals is a source to get the information for the services the customers are looking.

Currently as pay readers Pay Pass and Pay Wave are being used. Even customers are anxious about changing their current mobile phone to NFC enabled mobiles. Also, Vodafone SIM only deals provide you great offers for any type of phone.

A father whose two sons suffered fatal injuries in a car accident this month spoke only 5 words” This didn’t have to happen” and this should be a clear indication for the state legislature. Police say Jayne Perkins of Arkanas was talking on phone when she hit the car carrying 15 year old Daryl Baucom and 11 year old Isaiah Reynolds both of Winston-Salem.

To ban the cell-phones entirely while driving there is a march on 5 June in Winston-Salem to raise public awareness of the cause. Before more lives are lost legislature should enact laws banning the use of cell-phones while driving; even using the hands-free devices is also dangerous. Even the state officials should develop some advertising campaign warning North Carolinians of the danger of using cell-phones while driving.

“You pick your mobile phone up wherever you are when it rings, but there’s nothing that is important where you cannot wait to use the telephone”, Daryl Reynolds said.”I never said that I didn’t use cell-phone while driving but I want to change some laws”.

An estimated 28% of traffic accidents are nationally caused by cell-phones and only 3% due to text messaging which has been already banned. A Utah study has found that driving while talking on the phone causes drivers to be as impaired as drunk drivers. Hand-held phone talking while driving is banned in only six states and Washington D.C., for all drivers. Our legislature has banned it for the school-bus drivers and those under 18.

A recent Mason-Dixon Polling & Research survey found that 47% of North Carolinians favour a complete ban on cell-phone use by drivers and another 40% support a ban only on hand-held devices. There should be heavy fines in these cases.

Daryl Baucom and Isaiah Reynolds lost there life all because of a mobile chat .It didn’t have to happen.

Kin phones are phones launched by Microsoft, trying to make their presence felt in the mobile handset market just like Google did with Nexus One. Let’s see if they can match up with others.

Microsoft has to models Kin One and Kin Two. Microsoft is aiming these handsets at teenagers who use flip style phones with QWERTY keyboards to text, take pictures and use internet. They have all the features a smart phone has, but you cannot install third party applications they way you do in iPhone. Though this may be welcomed by parents who want to control what their kids install and use on their phone, but it could be turn off for advanced users who want the flexibility of installing third party software.
Though they seem to slow at times when it comes to smart phone capabilities, they are beautifully designed and it’s really fun to use them. The touch screen display and QWERTY keyboard is very comfortable to use. But high wireless date fees at $30 a month might keep many away from these phones.
Kin One and Kin Two are almost the identical designs with slight design changes. Like Kin One has rounded corners while Kin Two has an elongated design. Kin One looks cuter when compared to Kin Two but has a smaller screen and keyboard.

But both phones feel very durable. Kin One comes with 5 megapixel camera while Kin Two comes with 8 megapixel camera which is more than enough to take high resolution digital camera like pictures. Kin One and Kin Two comes with 8 gigabyte and 4 gigabyte of internal memory respectively. Vodafone deals are a source to check out the latest mobile phones.
